Filling pieces is a dutch shoes brand created by a young  designer from Amsterdam Guillaume Philibert.

Do not judge him by it’s french name Guillaume Philibert is a truly product of Amsterdam Streets. He confirms that Amsterdam, well known for its coffee shop, is also a fish pond of european creation.

The story of Filling Pieces began in 2009 when, Guillaume « tired of wearing shoes with big logo’s and shoes that everyone could wear or worn » decided to design his own shoes. And the result is pretty good.

Sober design, high qualities materials and confort that is Filling Pieces’ formula for success.

The shoes are not too street not too luxury, it can be worn with a pants a jean and even with shorts. From the words of his designer the brand can be define as a filling piece in a gap. This gap is formed between the Haute Couture and Street Couture.

We can see the inspiration from Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Collaboration for the low top and oldschool Original Clarcks desert boots for the Mid Tops. And Through the High Top, we can recognize the basis of boxing shoes.

Filling Pieces can be found in Netherlands in 6 or 7 places for the upcoming winter collection and 2 places in Paris.

So you have understood it Filling Pieces is my coup de cœur of the moment.

Surfing on internet I found this interesting pair of Jeffrey Campbell Sf Huarache Shoes. I think that it express the real soul of this summer. In collaboration with Lucas film Ltd, the brand with the three stripes offers a people remake of the bar scene on Tatooine planet from the movie Star Wars.
