Mount Kimbie – Made To Stray

Mount Kimbie approached electronic and dubstep music with the necessary naivity, knowing that originality measures better with the distance from an origin point, rather than from the ending result. In this track a nervous sample, that sounds like coming from some Colin Stetson’s avantgarde jam, crawls through the drumbeats, soon followed by a more nostalgic, stretched one. The voice only appears in the end as cap to the song, leading it to a not so comfortable silence. Following the 2010 success, the new album “Cold Spring Fault Less Youth” will be out soon.
