Time to take a step outside the Spanish territory for Primavera Sound!
For the very first time, Porto welcomed Primavera Sound to Portugal. And our journey started sharing a plane with Erland Oye from KOF on our way to this charming city.
Optimus Primavera Sound, a 3 days festival with a series of acts coming directly from the Barcelona edition at Parc del Forum, was hosted in beautiful Parque Du Ciudade, the biggest urban park in Portugal (83 hectares), located by the sea: a very special place, perfect for the occasion.
The programme was distributed in 4 different stages inside the park: Optimus, the main stage, with some of the biggest names on the line-up; Primavera stage just next to the main stage; All Tomorrows Party – also called ATP stage and probably my favourite one – with the most upcoming and trendy artists and, last but not least, Club stage where dance music was clearly the common denominator.
In our photo gallery: Beach House, Black Lips, amazing Dirty Three, James Ferraro and The Bodyguard, King Of Convenience, Neon Indian, Rufus Wainwright, Saint Etienne, Shellac, The Afghan Whigs, The Flaming Lips with their technicoloured show full of confetti, The Weeknd and the classic The XX to close the saturday main stage show.
