The MAN show for SS13 showcased the work of Shaun Samson, Agi & Sam and Astrid Andersen.

Starting with Astrid Andersen, the collection was sportswear with bits of lace thrown in – a new take on sports luxe. The 3/4 lace tights worn by one model are certainly more conducive to luxury rather than sports! The models walking out in formation at the end were a favorite bit, it really showed the strength of the collection.

Agi & Sam have been shown as part of the Fashion East menswear installation for the past two seasons. Their collection for SS13 featured a wide age range in the models and fake moustaches. Agi & Sam’s have strong prints – Sam did a BA in illustration. The blue coat with print inserts that showed toward the end of the collection was a favorite, and definitely wearable – as seen in the image above.

Shaun Samson concluded the MAN show, his specialty is ‘Men’s Modern Street Wear’, however this season with cats thrown in. Cats could be a forthcoming trend – they also featured in the work of Central Saint Martins graduate Brandy Nicole Easter in this years press show. Samson’s cats weren’t as light as Easter’s, he had some metal embellishment added to his print. The cat tees weren’t the only focus of his collection, the beanies and open shirts made for a collection that will certainly be sought after.
