The Soumaya Museum in Mexico City

Posted on 06.11.11 to architecture by Emanuele DAngelo

The Museo Soumaya in Mexico is designed by the architects and Mauricio Romero Fernando Ceballos of Grupo Carso. It shows part of the private art collection (around 66,000 pieces) of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, a man who estimated wealth is around £32. Covered by 16,000 aluminium hexagons the museum has a shape that reminds sea waves. All photos by Veronica Morales.
